    1. Acceptance of Terms

    These Terms of Service govern your use of digitalbookofindia.com ("DBI", "the platform"), operated by Digital Book of India. By creating an account, registering a business, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use DBI.

    2. Eligibility & Accounts

    You must be able to enter into a legally binding contract under Indian law to use DBI. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

    3. Business Listings & Verification

    Business owners may register a listing with details such as category, location, contact information, and photos. To help keep listings trustworthy, DBI verifies businesses through GST validation and, optionally, Aadhaar-based identity verification via DigiLocker. You confirm that all information and documents you submit are accurate and that you are authorized to represent the business you are listing. DBI may suspend or remove listings that contain false, misleading, or unverifiable information.

    4. Reviews & User Content

    Users may post reviews and ratings of listed businesses. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and must not contain defamatory, fraudulent, or unlawful content. DBI may remove content that violates this policy or applicable law. You retain ownership of content you post, but grant DBI a license to display it on the platform.

    5. Plans, Payments & Wallet

    DBI offers paid listing plans and a platform wallet, with payments processed through Razorpay. By subscribing to a plan or adding funds to your wallet, you authorize the corresponding charge. DBI does not store your full card or bank account details.

    6. Cancellations & Refunds

    If you wish to cancel before your listing goes live, contact us within 24 hours of payment for refund consideration. Once a listing has been approved and is live, subscription payments are non-refundable. If a payment was debited but your subscription did not activate due to a technical issue, contact us at contact@digitalbookofindia.com and we will work to resolve it. You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at renewal.

    7. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to misuse the platform, including by posting fraudulent listings or reviews, attempting to access other users' accounts, interfering with platform security, or using the platform for any unlawful purpose.

    8. Intellectual Property

    The DBI name, logo, and platform design are the property of Digital Book of India. Business owners retain rights to the content and images they upload, and grant DBI a license to display that content as part of their listing on the platform.

    9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

    DBI provides a directory and discovery platform; it does not itself sell the products or services offered by listed businesses and is not a party to transactions between users and businesses. DBI verifies businesses to the extent described in Section 3 but does not guarantee the accuracy of every listing or review. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DBI is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform.

    10. Suspension & Termination

    DBI may suspend or terminate accounts or listings that violate these terms, contain fraudulent verification data, or are used to harm other users. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

    11. Governing Law

    These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in India.

    12. Changes to These Terms

    We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
